I am getting ready to install dual exhaust on my sons 04 V6 and just wondering what exhuast would sound the best. We are debateing on putting my 04 GT take off on his V6, he already has installed the GT rear bumper.

Just asking for opinions

No MAC exhaust (there mufflers suck)

Magnaflow (original)
Magnaflow (magnapacks)
SLP (loud mouth 2)
Bassani

Is it a true dual set-up or does he still have the factory Y-pipe. If you're going with a ture dual set-up (h-pipe or X-pipe) you can just order any GT '99-'04 exhaust and put it on there with whatever H or X pipe he has

Definatly the GT take-offs and see how u like it then deciede if you want to change out the mufflers from there. Personally i really like the way mine sound so yea i am keeping it like that. Definetly sounds a hell of a lot better and louder than some other guy who tried to race me with dynomax's needless to say it didnt end well for him , but anyway if you dont like the sound of the GT mufflers then go with flowmaster 40's.

For the money they are a pretty good value, when my h-pipe was being bolted up the MAC catback still looked pretty good, not bad for a supposed POS

Its all good bro One thing I noticed on my GT is that by my SOTP I may have lost some low-end torque but gained some high-end power, guess the 2 back cats are restrictive.
