dual plug head info

has anyone tried with success using a dual plug head on an non dual plug car . talking to a freind said i should be able use just plugs on ex side like norm. just screw plugs in other side to seal them. any ideas or coments

You can do that, but you wont see the peformance gain that the dual plug cars had. The held will bolt up just fine though. You may want to check the timing belt pullys though, You motor likely has Square tooth pulleys while the dual plug head will have round tooth. You will want to swap your cam pully onto the new head before swapping.

I cannot imagine why you would want to do that, considering what a poor performer the DP head is air-flow wise. And you won't even be reaping what gains can be had from the DP igntion. ?

The intake manifolds have different bolt patterns, also.

the DP intake manifold will not clear the distributer.

thanks for all the input just had the head laying around my just swap cam and followers . just FYI a guy at work did swap his 2.3 head for a 2.5 head couple acces holes not there and thermastat bolts diff . says made diff the 2.5 has smaller comb cambers and smaller intake runners.
