This is a Blue Thunder repro 2x4 intake with Holleys, does anyone have this or know if there is any hood clearance issue for a 1965 Mustang? Thanks

Those are nice...I searched but couldn't find any specs, even on blue thunders site? Hopefully you'll find someone that owns one to give you a measurement, like from the top of the bolt holes to the carb mount surface. With that you could measure under your hood since it should be the same distance from the bolt holes. I put a tape measure standing up on my intake with it 1/2 locked and slowly closed the hood, this gave me a good measurement of underhood clearance for intake+spacer+air cleaner.

EDIT: here's they're website, maybe a call will get the measurements:

Yes, that's the C6ZZ-6B068-A high-rise version (the medium rise C4OZ-6B068-E used AFB's). I know a fellow who put an original (not repro) C6ZZ-6B068-A on a 66 GT 350 clone, and it fit perfectly under the steel hood. The 3-2V C4DZ-6B068-B is a similar height, and I used that on a 66 for years, I will say the front of the air cleaner clears the hood frame by about 1/8".

it clears a gt350 clone with the hood scoop? or does that not play into it fitting?

No, it's a real steel Shelby hood, with the steel scoop. The scoop is much too small to be a factor in hood clearance anyway, unless you are using a single 10" diameter air cleaner. The crossbar above the distributor (seen here on a Mustang) is the lowest part of the hood, and where you'll get contact if you are using an oval air cleaner.

The early 65 , 3 piece motor mounts hold the motor about 1" lower than the later 65-66 mounts. I lowered the Cleveland in our 65 an extra 3/4" by modding the early 3 piece mounts. I've seen those on several 65-66 cars so you can do it.

The 3x2's I have were in a 65-66 Stang when i bought em, so I know they'll fit. They also fit under the hood of an 89 Ranger and 77 Comet.
