will these work on an 88? it only lists them as 93+ 5.0's. i thought that all 86-95 5.0 had the same style injectors.......


i'm getting confused

Yes, all the '86-'95 cars have 11-18 Ohm Impedence EV1 injectors.

I'm including the following information incase you are new to modifying Mustang fuel injection.

If your application is stock, they will not work due to excessive fuel flow and computer calibration. If that is the case you will need to stay with stock 19 lb injectors.

The stock 19 lb tan injectors are good to 300-320 HP.

A 42 LB injector is way too much injector unless you are running Pressurized induction or a dry NO2 system. Even then, you would need computer modification or replacement to use them.

System prior to 89 (88 for Cali cars) were all Speed Density unless they had been converted to Mass Air. Speed Density cars require dyno time & special custom burned chip to tune them to properly use injectors larger than 19 lbs. Mass Air cars can use a different Mass Air Flow meter (MAF) to accomodate larger injectors.

i geuss i shoulda said this is going on my car along with a t70 turbo and all the goodies that go along with it plus a PMS. my mods so far are 306, tw heads, cam, and track heat intake etc.


42's would be waaaaaaay over kill for a stock setup lol, but are pretty much dead on for what i have

well that price is like $150 less than what jegs lists them at so i think i am grabing them

That's a real nice price for new injectors.. not too bad.

i know!!! i couldn't even get them for that off ebay. i'm calling summit now to add that to my order and hoping its not a mis printed price
