Your VIN will determine.
Also, what is your build date?

Does it grind when you shift to 2nd? If so I think I might know which one you have...

I know my build date was 8/01. Do you know when they started putting the different trannys in?

This isn't a dumb question, but there is a search function - use it!
OK, on the driver's side door post, there is a sticker called the VCL (Vehicle Certification Label). Under the heading "TR" a "K" will indicate you have the (11") TR-3650 - a "6" indicates the (10.5") T-45. The King Cobra is a 10.5" clutch.

SPEC is an option. Might not be everyone's pick, however.

Here's an even dumber answer...

If you have 3 pedals, it's a 5 speed. If you have 2 pedals, it's an automatic.

We've got both the T-45 (in the 01) and the TR-3650 in the 02...and, IMO, gimme 2 TR-3650s anyday. The T-45 is SO vague compared to the 3650...the 3650 is very precise and much stronger than the 45.
We replaced the 01's Spec2 (piece of crap) with a King Cobra and have been happy with it. I have yet to trash the 02's clutch, but I've read nothing but good things about the Centerforce dual friction setup...not the cheapest, but you don't want to do this again soon, do you?
Best of Luck!
