I was wondering how you guys paint your calipers? I want them to look good. I am about to get some new rims. I have dupont paint. Is this something i could do my self? Should i take it to a paint shop? Any ideas? and what color would look good? I do not think i could get my calipers to shift colors like the rest of my car does. So i was thinking red with the white cobra letters left alone. Any ideas? Post some pics if ya could.

My dad bought me a ricer kinda kit to paint mine red.... I made my little brother use it on his STI first... and luckily he ran out of paint. So far (1 month now) the paint (wich is more an epoxy) has held very well and looks pretty good.
When I decide to do mine I will most likely use the same kit except I will be painting mine black (too many reds and yellows out there) Bobwhite hooked me up with some caliper ponies that I think will look awesome on my car considering I will have no red on it what so ever (except brake lights) when I am done with the visual mods.

i painted my calipers black in my garage.. its not hard.. just go to autozone and get the HIGH-TEMP caliper paint... it has a pic of a brake caliper on the side of the can so its not hard to miss.. they have all diferent colors... i put 3 coats on mine before i put the wheels back on and it looks great.

I did mine about two months ago, and they turned out great. My friend that owns a 02 Z28 wanted me to do his red after I did mine in his shop. I know alot of people take the whole caliper off, I just left mine on and made sure everything else was taped off. I went to Napa and had them order a specific color of Hi-Temp Engine Enamel w/Ceramic protection for my car since it is Zinc Yellow and it matched pretty damn well. Take a look at my garage and see the results.
