Just got back from the dyno....numbers way lower than expected (Tim said 'bout 370)...330/340 was about what I got....this was the first dyno I've ever had done on the car....they only did two pulls...in 4th to 6000....I'm no expert so I couldn't say weather or not they did everything right....I'm putting the graph up for Tim over at MPH so he can give suggestions....anybody here got any? It definately looks like the car is running a bit rich

I have learned alot about dyno's recently and the more I learn the less I trust thier numbers You see an engines power output is a direct indicator of load and Dyno's no matter how well set up have a hard time simulating load in a real enviroment. I know I will get bashed, but a dyno is a tool nothing more.

The guys at MPH recommend that I upgrade to the 4" boost pipe, and 3.3 pulley...things I didn't get upon first purchase because of funds....that might get the boost up, and raise the numbers...still...330 is a good bit stronger than where my car was before the vortech, and I'm pleased w/ the extra power....maybe it'll have the same effect w/ the boost pipe, and pulley....Tim also says that my A/F is good to go, so I can have more fun w/ the car now

look at SCT I think thats where I read alot of it, Ill have to go back on my PC at home and look. Some of it was talking to tuners who use Dyno' themselves because people wanna see numbers. They agree though that being able to tune t the track is much more ideal

yea i was wondering about boost too. that could have alot to do with it, although i thought the most basic vortech kit put out around 350 to the wheels.

I was expecting 350-370 to the wheels....and I wasn't even close....I've got the stock pulley and inlet pipe on there....and I plan on upgrading...no boost gauge yet, so I couldn't tell you how much I'm running....

FYI: I've found a problem since I got the car back home in the garage. It seems that the point where the bypass valve hose meets up with the discharge tube had wiggled free (slightly). The hose was still attached, but was angled and loose...i have a feeling that a lot of air could have escaped there, after being pushed out of the blower....but i'm no expert...i've since replaced the fasteners for a tighter hold, and I'm checking everything again after a drive.
