I had my car dyno'd the other day for free . It made 205.4HP and 263.9 ft/lb to the wheels. Mods include:
CAI from ebay(don't know what brand)
Mac O/R Prochamber
Dynomax Super Turbo's
FRPP aluminum D/S
3.73 gears
Spec Stage II
162,350 Miles :flag:

I was expecting/hoping for around 215-220RWHP. How does compare to other mostly stock mustangs?

I'll try to post the graph up later tonight.

um, actually, I beg to differ... I gained a ton of rwhp w/ my cai (off ebay too :D) and I'm making a ton more hp and tq than you are... all I have done to my car are: CAI, ASP Pulleys, and O/R H w/ catback. I'm making 232.3rwhp and 293.8rwtq.

your numbers seem a bit low to me... (apparently, I have a very nice engine from ford :D) but still... have you checked your A/F ratios lately? a friend was running so lean that they refused to dyno him again until it gets fixed... he should have been around 250rwhp, instead, he was around 210... so, I'd have that checked soon! you don't want to be running out of tollerence range...

oh, wait... was that a dyno jet, or mustang dyno? that could make all the difference there...

-oh, and btw, the exhaust was not the only thing to give you power to the rear wheels... my CAI did a ton for me... and I know it does something for everyone... your aluminum driveshaft help the parasitic loss of power... but the exhaust was the largest gain... thought you might like to know :)

Yeah, it was a Dyno Jet. I forgot that I also have BBK U/D pulleys and removed smog pump. Im thinking about going with a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and Adj. fuel pressure regulator next. I was hoping to have that done before the dyno but they decided to run it early. Oh well, I can't really complain about getting a $100/hour dyno run for free :D.

Oh yeah, I think I have a small exhaust leak around the pass. side header. Could that be causing a problem?

Edit: Also have a Jet chip installed. Can't believe I keep forgetting what mods I have installed!

heres the dyno graph.

na... the exhaust leak won't "hurt" the numbers... maybe youre life (from co2 poisoning :)) that is very weird then... if it were a mustang dyno, that would partially explain that... but no... there is something wrong w/ your car I'd say... have your fuel pressure checked, and your A/F ratio... that could be the problem... but w/ those mods, I'd expect you in the 220-230rwhp range, and 280+ rwtq... I made 280 torque w/ just CAI and pulleys... (also, 212 hp) and that's on a dyno jet as well...

-I wouldn't drive it hard at all until you find "something" to expain that... I wouldn't worry too much, but there has to be some reason for it...

-btw, yes, I know you have a lot of miles on your engine... but that still wouldn't fully expain the lack of gains from your mods...

-oh, and seriously, I'm not trying to flame, or brag, I'm just trying to help out your stang... and try to minimize any potential damage from running lean (a good friend was too lean, and raced... w/ very bad results I might add) so, good luck.

Ok so should I buy a fuel pressure gauge and A/F guage? I've been thinking about buying one of these

but I'm not sure what guages to get. Im not too worried about the numbers right now because I plan on swapping in a 351 by next spring. BUT, could any of these possibly be my problem?
distributer cap has 40K miles on it, all other tune-up items have been replaced.
Maybe a sensor going bad?
Power steering pump has been squealing off and on for a while(bearings). Maybe it's causing drag on the engine?
Thats all I can think of that I've noticed that might be wrong with the car.
Thanks for the help :flag:
