I'm thinking about buying some kind of dyno software for my PC to give me a good idea of what to expect for my next engine build up. I know that the only true way to tell the power output of the engine is to actually go have it dyno'd on a machine. I just need something to let me build a concept of what i'm looking for, and also learn from it. I was wondering if anybody here have used a program they like and what would you recommend? Here are a couple that i'm considering just to name a few :

Dyno Sim

Virtual Engine Dyno 2005

I've never heard of either of them. I'd just go get it dynoed... it'd be easier.

Are you talking about the one that you need a laptop for?

I'm actually talking about a software program for the PC that will allow you to create an engine with parts and you pick the components that go in it. Then virtually dyno it and see what the output is.

I don't think I've heard of that. That sounds cool. If you find out what it is make sure to tell me.

hey, yeah here is a link for one www.virtualengine2000.com

the thing is, is it worth the $89?!?! And if I build an engine with that program, how well will it perform if I actually build it in real life! eh?
