Good and bad news, bad meaning I just need to spend a little more.

We are pretty sure what is up with the car not making power like it is supposed to.

I did gain a bunch of HP and Torque compared to last time.

Now, I am at 340 HP and 325 tq at about 5300 to the wheels. I was at 289 / 289, so th at was a good improvement.

I found my valve covers were leaking a little oil, no biggie, just smokey.

331 stroker built by Beau at Mental Addiction Motorsports, Mesa, AZ.

Here is what I need to do...

1. Adjust valves
2. Fix my cooling system ASAP.
3. Install serpentine pulleys and a high output alternator.

I believe, now, that this will make 400 at the wheels at 6500+ rpm.

I don't think it is asking alot only because power is stopping at 5300. It is built to make it to 6800.

The power is still climbing at 5300.

Engine set up....

331 stroker 10.5 - 1 compression
TFS fully ported heads
Comp Roller Cam 530 / 540 or so (specs are in the car)
Hooker Super Comp Headers
Speed Demon 750
Vic Jr intake

what TFS heads do you have?

What size primaries do you have?

isnt that a lot of carb?

I have a similar setup with a little bit more aggressive camshaft, a 650 speed demon and 1 3/4" primary custom headers. My TFS heads are the 185cc version. I, too, am hoping for 400 at the wheels :) through a c4 with a 3000 stall.

I jumped up in power because of tuning. Last time I was on a dyno, I got my numbers only, he didn't have time to tune it.

I thought I was running out of fuel, but I am not. I am dipping at 54 - 5500 and then it comes back, and then makes nothing after 5800.

Kieth, the dyno guy, says that the engine sounds like the valves are out of wack at high rpms.
