E-Brake ligh comes on while braking

Ive noticed, from time to time, that when braking harder than usual....my e-brake light on the dash comes on and only briefly. I woul dlike to say that its usually when its raining, but I live in seattle so its always rianing. i dont have any traction contorl system or anything.....anyone got any ideas?

Check your brake fluid, seems as if it's low.

Mine has done that on occasion too. I do have trac control but it's disabled along w/ my ABS. My brake fluid's fine; I frequently check it. I don't know what causes it but I hope the Saleen brake upgrade i'll be doing soon fixes it.

I made another post about my dash board electrial problems. Since im not alone here on this issue, Ill assume the brake light isnt part of my blinker/air bag/cruise control issues.

Premature brake fade looks like triggering your e-brake light on the dash. Take it to a local mechanic have your brakes checked...

My guess would be the same Kappa. My brakelight has come on for many a very brief moment in the past. I haven't seen it in months though I haven't done my breaks in well over a year.

I bought the car used at 64K miles....now im at 94K....perhaps its time to get them checked
