I'm rebuilding a 302 with GT40 heads, PP intake, 24 [maybe 30] pound injectors, and the other current mods I have..

Would you go with a B or E cam and why?

I'd go with the E cam, mainly to pass the Houston emissions. And the B cam plays havoc with the 94\95 computers.

I don't think one is gonna make much different peak power over
the other

Possibly the e would be better since you got the aode

Either cam would pass emissions if you had a good tune
as
I pass with flying colors with my custom's low lsa that is
lower than either of those two.

Have you considered something other than the letter cams

Comp, Crane, Crower, Wolverine, etc

I've considered the Steeda #19 or the TFS2, I want something a little better and harder than the average camshaft. I'm not worried about emissions.

dont go to big on the lift, because you could run into PTV clearance issues

The B cam is really meant for a carburated car. The EEC IV computer doesn't like it due to the overlap and results in a poor idle (lots of stalling). I'd look elsewhere.

get the TFS1, I had the Ecam in my past setup and liked it alot with no stalling or idling issues but the TFS1 is a better cam in my opinion.

If youre going to pick one of those two, make it the E cam, its probably the singularly most wide-used cam in existence because people use what works for mild combos

E cam would be fine for your combo.

Duration with a little combination of lift and the ramp rates is more crucial to piston to valve clearance. It isn't just the peak lift. The piston is making its way well down the piston wall before peak lift on a cam.
