E303 and windsor jr heads, bad combo?

I was originally going to re ring a 87 or newer 302, port the E7's, and throw in an E cam for my 66. Now I have come across a set of Windsor Jr heads for a good price. I am also considering a crate shortblock with slight dome pistons for 10:1 with a 58cc head. Is the E cam a mismatch for the heads?

Not really a mismatch at all. Its a pretty proven cam, although there are newer grinds that I would look at first. A split pattern would still be my first choice with those heads.

That is the same combo I am using on the engine I am assembling currently......although, I kinda wish I would have gone with the "B" cam but I am in Cali and C.A.R.B. issues is not on my list of things to do EVER. The CARB friendly "E" cam got the nod.

I think it should be a decent combo, but I do agree that there are better grinds these days to be had....but the FRPP cams definitely are proven cam grinds.

Did you dial in the E cam at 4* advanced? Who has advanced 6*?
