I'm taking my heads off in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone knows away to raise compression the easiest? I know having the heads milled will raise it but I don't know how much. I was told I can't swap pistons unless I rebalance the rotating assembly.

Thanks
Kurt

You don't have to rebalance the whole assembly if you swap pistons. It's just a good idea to keep things smooth. Does someone make thinner head gaskets for the mod motors? If you don't want to mill that's your next best choice.

I say just do it the right way and get some different pistons and balance the rotating assembly.

I know there are custom head gaskets out there that drop compression for PI swapped cars, there should also be some thinner ones to bump it up....

you really don't want to deck the heads on an OHC engine much. you already have 9.4:1 compression which isn't bad. get some cams instead. it will make much more of a difference.

isn't 2002 compression 9.0 to 1? That is what I thought. Why is milling OHC heads a bad thing?

Cams is going to happen, just waiting on VT stock to come in.
