Easy to install a painted Roush Nose / Wing myself? Paint shop quotes...

I got four quotes for paint and install of the Roush Stage 3 nose and wing.

1. Ford (just for laughs - I was there anyway) - $1500!!!
2. New local shop - $1000
3. Old local shop I have used before - $600
4. Local shop with good rep recommended by a friend - $350 paint $150 labor = $500

So I'm going with the last place because a friend of mine that works for a towing company says they do good repair work. They cant get the parts installed for 3 weeks because they are backed-up with cars, but could paint the parts sooner if I drop them off.

So I'm thinking of paying $350 to get the parts painted, and then taking them home and installing them on my driveway. I have all the Roush directions... it looks easy...?

Anyone installed a stage 3 nose or stage 3 wing???? Is there any reason I shouldnt do it myself??
With the money I save, maybe I can get a few more parts and paint them at the same time.... Cobra mirrors for example.

The front bumper cover is pretty simple to replace. It's *maybe* a dozen bolts and screws holding it on, and just comes right off. I honestly can't believe how little those things are fastened on.

The spoiler...if it uses the same mounting points as the factory spoiler, it would be a piece of cake. If not...well, you'd just have to have some precision measurement to drill out new mounting points and bolt it on.

Install is the expensive part. Have it painted by the best in town (probably not ford) and install it yourself.

getting the old bumper off is a one-man job, but an extra set of hands wouldn't hurt for the re-installation. the hardest part of the bumper install for me wasn't even the bumper itself, it was swapping out the foglight harness "shells", they're a bitch to get off!
