My dad had a Kubota G5200 lawn mower 30-35 years ago. He used and abused it the whole time. We rebuilt the mower deck twice and boiled the coolant out at least 10-12 times, each time the engine would just stop (the rad screens would plug up with grass and weed debris stopping air flow). We would wait an hour or two, add some water back in the rad and it would start right up and run normal again. You couldn't kill it. After 20+ years it finally wasn't running right so my dad got rid of it. A nephew picked it up and changed a second fuel filter we never knew existed and it ran like a charm again. You can't kill those Kubota 3 cyl. diesels from the 90's.

One of the things I focus on after use is rinsing out the radiator fins.

Particularly, during the summer when it's dry.

I also discovered that on my machine at least: Filling the oil to the Fill-Line is a no-go. Keep it at or just above half. Not a big deal if you fill it all the way... The machine will just burn or puke it out until it's at the level that it likes. LoL

Fuel pumps are kinda difficult to change on the side of the road. They aren't real fun to change in the garage. And I generally don't prefer to walk, or call a tow truck and wait hours for it to arrive. Changing a fuel pump multiple times or paying for a tow negates saving a few bucks on a cheap fuel pump and then some.

This is key to how I decide on part "quality" and/or price. I'm not against autozone 3G alt that sits on top of motor right there (especially on toy/show car), but I'm getting the best timing chain/clutch I can find, no matter the cost.

What is even worse in this situation is the guy is installing a supercharger and his biggest concern is getting the pump on sale for $99 even if it's not the right pump.
Where I prefer to find the right part, then look for the best price on that particular part.
I read some of his other posts, i regret replying at all.

I read that and cringed as well. It seems like a combination that will self-destruct very quickly, potentially costing an engine due to cheaping out on a critical part.

The cheap pump will become the most expensive part of the whole build when it fails prematurely in a supercharged application.
