I found a guy selling brand new sets of valve springs, retainers, and locks on ebay for about $70. Says they're good up to .540 lift and will fit directly on my GT40P heads. He says they're off-brand, but come from the same parts bin as the crane springs do. I'm considering buying them rather than the $113 crane kit. Any thoughts? Anyone bought these before? Oh, and i'm running a TFS 1 cam.

Be careful with that kind of stuff. If it was me, with my luck, I'd buy 'em and get matress springs in the mail.

i saw that add awhile back and i figured they were maybe a paw or summit type deal.......if you buy them i'd just make sure to have the height and spring pressure checked just in case. some of the people on e bay know their stuff and some don't. i love e bay my self but it's evil.....lol

Watch it with the springs, I bought the trickflow springs, and after bending all my pushrods, realize that the heads have to be machined for the springs to work.
