ebrake light keeps coming on

This light is not only for the E-brake as some people have said.

Your brake fluid is either low or low on pressure. If its low, add brake fluid, if your brake fluid is full then your problem is you're brakes are needing replacing now. Check your front pads, if they are low, thats whats causing your brake light to come on.

Change your brakes and pads if need-be and then add fluid if need-be. Your light should go out.

The same thing started happening to me about a month ago. Then, last Thursday i was driving around and my clutch starting acting retarded. I parked somewhere and when i started my car up again and put it in reverse, it wouldn't move! i had it towed on a trailor. i picked it up monday finally. cost about $800 to get the clutch completely rebuilt. Now the light doesn't come on. Not saying this is your problem, but you never know...

The Brake light is tripped either by the E-brake or the low fluid sensor.

When it goes on and off it's the fluid sloshing around in the reseviour intermittently tripping the sensor.

With that said, NEVER add fluid.

You either have a leak and need to find and fix it,

Or most likely your brakes pads are low and you need to replace your pads. The reason you don't want to add is because when you push the pistons in, the extra fluid will spill out of the MC and all over your engine and engine bay. Brake fluid eats paint, so you definitely don't want that to be splashing around.
