The new 2018 Ecoboost has me scratching my head. It has 350HP and 310lbs-ft of torque. Why the heck is it so slow? 0-60 is about 5.5 sec, even in track mode.
Looking at my neibghbors older 335i, and the newer 435i, I can't help but drool a bit at the incredible acceleration these cars have. They both easily do 4.5sec 0-60.
The Ecoboost has 50 more HP, and 10 more lbs-ft of torque than the BMW 435i. The Ecoboost also weighs almost 100lbs less than the BMW. ????
So, why the heck is everybody getting 0-60 times a full 1.0 seconds slower than a BMW?
