Hi everyone! This is my first post, as I have recently purchased an 87 gt t-top car for the reasonable price of $350! I have taken care of some of the mechanical issues, and now am starting work on the go fast goodies. So far in my garage, I have accumulated an explorer gt40 intake, stainless shorty headers, an E303 cam, and a few days ago got a set of Edelbrock performer aluminum heads with 1.6 ratio roller rockers (used for a crazy price) with less than 1000 miles on them from a friend of mine. He had them on his 5.0 powered 68 Bronco, but switched to gt40 X heads and installed an aftermarket cam. My question is..I've been told that stock length push rods will not work, as I need shorter push rods. Can anyone confirm this, or if youre running the same heads, what length push rods are you using? I was told that I will get "coil bind" in the valve springs using the stock length push rods. Also while I'm at it, what size injectors will I need to go to...24#..30#? Thanks in advance for any help given. I've owned a few 4.6 cars, but this is my first 5.0

Always check your PTV clearance. get an adjustable pushrod and clay your heads. then order the correct size pushrod for your motor.
