New here and New to my mustang as well. I purchased a 66 289 A code. I have a holly 4bl now but looking for a little more . Does anyone have experience with the edelbrock 2027 kit?
Can I use my stock pistons? Car runs great the compression check was good so I really just want to use this kit with what I have.
Any suggestions would be great, maybe better options than this kit? I live in Germany(retired army) so parts are hard to come by, pretty much limited to ordering new and under 70lbs.

Anyway I don't have experience with this particular kit but I've used their Performer RPM components and matched items per their suggestions. They match the components pretty well and it takes out a lot of the guess work and mismatching of components. its no fun to install performance parts only to find out they don't work well together. I think you would be ok with your stock lower end but they do also have a good tech department that could give you the best setup for your engine. I know you can call them but you might also be able to do an online chat with them.
