What is the rest of the combo?

I ran one for years and LOVED it, IMO its still the best intake for a stock head/cam combo as well as a street HCI setup. I went all the way to a 12.03 at 112mph with mine.

I have to agree with killercanary here.

I enjoyed my intake and did what I wanted.

From idle to 6k with a FTI camshaft, and AFR 165cc heads.

Make sure it's not warped like the one I recieved. Mine had about .020-.030 gap across it, still giving me issues; and is getting torn off with the lower to get remachined (AGAIN!!) or thrown in the ****ing trash.

I doubt I'll ever purchase another.

I had all the bolt-ons with the stock heads and cam. I was running a 14.6 at 94.8mph at the time. i added the e-brock intake 65mm TB, and shorty headers and my times dropped to a 14.3 at 97.2mph, I then added drag radials and a homemade CAI and it ran a 13.83 at 98.55mph. In a coupe it'd have been trapping ~100mph.

I'd definitely recommend the Performer for a 302. The only problem I've had with mine is that the center lower intake bolt hole got stripped so I had to rethread it. Next time I open it up, I'll put a helicoil in.

It was also a little small for my 331, so I sent it to Tmoss to get it opened up a bit.

Was it a real Edelbrock Performer intake or was it a Professional Products Chinese knock-off?

It sucks that you had issues with it but just because you did doesn't mean that it is junk. You are the first and only person I've ever seen post anything negative about the fit and performance of the edelbrock piece. Do you think it was just a bad casting? Did you call edelbrock about it? DId you buy it new or used?
