i seem to have a slight prob when i got to time my 93 ,with the car running it surges first off and no i have good vacum and i also know the iac is working right. when i pull the base timing module out the car idles fine but when i plug it back in the cars timing seems to be all over the place along with the idle actin dumb.the only thing i can think of is the eec is gone..anyone have a insight on this prob

I am not the best one to try and solve your problem, but maybe I can get you pointed in the right direction.
When these cars do something odd like this the best bet is to pull the codes from the computer. This will not give you the answer but will definitely give you a direction.
There is a sticky at the top of this forum called "Surging Idle Checklist" it should help.
Also, try a search for posts from jrichker, you should be able to find a cheap way to pull the computer codes.
