It looks to me the timing covers can be modified to take a manual pump. I would prolly just get a timing cover though. Then you need a fuel pump eccentric to spin it and your all set. If you have a pickup in the tank and not a pump still! I am not totally sure, but it looks as if it would not be any different. I have considered doing it to mine, but its been running good.
