EFI fuel line questions...

I am sitting here at work trying to think which side I will need to run the fuel line for the EFI swap, and how some of you handle the fuel return? I am drilling out the sending unit and soldering in a new tube. I know if I was at the car I could figure it out but if you have done this swap please let me know so i can get started as soon as I get home tonight.

usually the supply line is run along the right side of the car. how you choose to do it though is your idea. as for the return line, it is usually run along side the supply line as it makes line maintenance easy. remember to run a tube to the bottom of the tank on the return fitting as you dont want static eletricity to build up in the tank.

Our friends at Mustangs Plus have a nice article online for this swap!

If the tank has a drain plug, don't waste your time soldering one in. Just use a threaded 90 and screw it in the drain for the return. How many times have you actually drained the gas tank. And if you do, just use the line disconnect and it will drain it anyway. Save you a bunch of time and money! Just my 2 cents. I ran the lines on the passenger side in the same config as the old setup. I slid the EFI lines into a rubber fuel hose line for protection under the car and through the wheel house. Run them side by side for a clean look! Good luck!

I used stainless tubing run up the right side floor, feed and return are parallel. And to protect that expensive pump I put the filter between the tank and pump. Both are next to the fuel tank behind the rear axle. I also insulated the fuel lines when they run near the exhaust. (PS: I'm a retired safety engineer.)
