EFI Swap Sensors not needed

OK My main harness and computer came in and everything looks well. I cleaned it up and started marking connectors. I know where all will go except what to do with:

1. Barometric Pressure Sensor (is this needed, can it be bypassed?)
2. and ERG connectors. I dont want to install an EGR system on my 65, how can I baypass this?

If anyone has any suggestions where I'd be better off finding these answers, please post. Im doingmost of my research on fordfuelinjection.com Thanks!

You will need the BAP sensor. It is typically located behind the intake on the firewall.

As for the egr, you can get the egr simulator and solenoid eliminator from www.ronmorrisperformance.com I also got the canister purge eliminator and one more... they are just simply (from what I remember 75 ohm, 3W resistors) but he give you the parallel connectors and tells you which wires to remove. His support is worth every penny.

If you do not install the EGR system, you need to disable it with either a tunner such as a TwEECer or with a chip. The reason you need to disable the EGR system is because the computer leans out the fuel mixture during certain driving conditions and uses the gases from the EGR system to compensate for the lean condition made by the computer. So if you remove the EGR system w/o disabling it in the computer, your computer will lean out the fuel mixture, but there will be no EGR system to richen it back up, causing a lean condition.

Do a search in the 5.0 section of this forum for more options on removing the EGR system.
