I picked up a 5.0 explorer cam sensor for a EFI/EDIS upgrade on my 289. I did some research on this as a solution to spin the oil shaft but my engine has a flat tappet cam and I need change the lower gear to a cast iron gear. I was going to order one of those MSD gears you see on summit but there are different diameters to these gears. Has anyone done this and found a cast iron gear that will go on the explorer cam sensor?
