My tuner wants to put an EGR block off plate on my 91 5.0 and then tune. Why would we want to do this? Will it help with tuning? My car currently suffers from Surge idle when I first start it up. Idles real high then shuts off. Sometimes goes away when warmed up sometimes not. I have not tried any of the suggestions in the surge idle check list yet but will soon. Any additional/initial thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
