EGR cap?! Where the hell is it?!?!

ok...sooo i have a part that's loose

the piece that has threading on it, that won't come off the tube that goes down to the headers.

I put my cap on that, and its loose up there. the cap screwed down on the other part, but it didn't pull it tight to the top of the tube.

does this make sense??? how to i fix it?

I have not had any probs with the cap I got from HD.

But Ill tell you... If you cant find one...get one from Wazee!!!

He has awesome stuff and will help out if there are any problems.:Word:

Dang, I fixed this a long time ago now. I finally found some at Home Depot, I even shipped a guy on here a couple, lol. I put loc-tite on mine, and it hasn't even loosened, and it's been on there for 3 months now.

yeah, they changed the composition to 97.5 percent zinc/2.5 percent copper in 1982. pennies from before that should be fine.
