egr tube location

I was just wondering where the egr tube hooks up to the actual egr vavle like if anyone had a picture. I dont think mine is hooked up because i can find the tube but i can see where the actual egr valve is that is hooked up to the upper intake. can anyone help me on a location of where it is? Thanks

You don't have an egr tube. On the passenger side of the engine is an emissions tube that hooks up to a rubber hose near the r/header and runs down to the h-pipe.

I think what you are describing is the fresh air tube for the cats???

On a stock intake manifold the exhaust is routed to the EGR through a passage in the heads that runs into the lower/upper intake. There are many Ford vehicles with EGR that route the exhaust from the back of the heads via a tube. I think this is the type of setup you are thinking of.
While this set up does reduce engine clutter it can also add heat to the intake manifold.
