EGR Tube!

i had post recently telling you guys about how i had a problem with white smoke, only under hard acceleration. well today i noticed that when i would open the throttle smoke would come out of the EGR tube. so my question is, if it is broke which most likely will be, is this an easy fix? how and what do i need to fix it? im guessing since the EGR has alot to do with the exhaust this could be where im getting the white smoke from? maybe its sucking fresh air through it, and its lean? i have no idea? just a guess. thanks guys!

Very easy fix...if it is just the tubing itself. If you need to replace sections of it, use copper tubing from a hardware store. The EGR Tubing doesn't get nearly as hot as the headers do except for maybe where the tube comes off the header. When I put my long tubes on, i used a hack saw to cut my EGR Tube in half from the header to the valve. Bolted both pieces on where they would normally go and then used some generic orange high temp tubing and a pair of hose clamps to make the two meet. I'm sure this can be used to fix any cracks or busted lines as well. Whatever you do, don't block off the EGR unless you get a chip burnt to take it out of the computers settings. Sometimes is causes crappy drivability and fuel comsumption. hope this helps.
