Ok guys I just finished installing my eibach drag launch suspension kit. It really wasn't that hard. Many told me that you would have to cut a coil to get them in. This is not so. Thought I would let you know how I did it.

To remove the coils that were in the car i removed the caliper the disc and strut. Then I pulled the coil out. at that point i reinstalled one strut bolt to secure it loosely to the spindle. The I removed the two rear bolts that hold the lower control arm on. Then i installed the new coil through the back. The next bit took a little time but basically a jack and a jack stand was all that was needed to get the control arm pushed back up and bolts reinstalled. Never used a coil compressor on the install at all. Worked great.

Now my car looks like this:

Its about 1/2 inch higher in the front then the Ford motorsport C coils were. I hope this helps with some traction at the track. I hear these coils settle out in a couple of months so I hope it sits a little lower by the time it is time to insure the car.

Never!! Well maybe a little. How come simple mods always end up being more expensive. I ended up changing the brakes while I was in there. Had to buy a 16 inch water pump pliers to force pistons on calipers back. GRRRRR oh well least i know it will stop at the track now.

Well I hope to get newer spindles next winter. So the calipers will also be upgraded then. I would like to install the 87-93 spindles and with them the larger disc. That way I can also get a nice adjustable strut for the car. Man I hate being on a budget. Things were easier when I had more disposable income.

i could never get my front drag springs on all. i have the moroso springs, they are pretty similar, the height difference is identical to that pic you posted compared to stock springs, i tried jacking it up and the spring was so stiff it just lifted the car up before it would compress.

I do have a 351w in my engine bay which i'm sure helped a bit. That being said i have a fiber-glass hood and the battery is relocated to the rear. A couple of times I did have to reach out fron under the car and pull with all my might to help with a little spring compression. I also located the other jack stand as close to the other tire as possible so that I had a fair bit of leverage on my side. Fulcrum as far away from the jack as possible. The trickiest part was the bolt that comes out close to the rack and pinion steering. I had to remove the boot cover so I didn't rip it as the bolt came out. I'm glad the job is done.
