Yeah its me again. Anywayz I had the door panel off inspecting the windows this kid that owned this took some primer off the window with sand paper?!? My door locks didn't work I tried to jump a wire after I had it seemed my gas gague seemed to work off and on or sometimes not at all???? Got me.... I have power to the lock button but nothing(only one wire has power and all my fuses are fine) Do i need to replace my lock panel switch or is thtere something else that may be my problem?Any info on that would be great. Also the window seems to slip? down when rolled down is there a busing to be replaced? The windows are all scratched so should I wait to replace the windows to do the bushing.

Your door lock actuator may be seized, Jrich has a replacement setup that is pretty cheap and easy, im sure he will buzz in when he gets on

Follow this link to fix your door lock actuator problems: Mustang Door Lock Actuator Retrofit

Stuck with door lock actuators that don't work and don't want to pay the $50+ for a new one? Tried the junkyard ones and found that they last six months and freeze up?

A new actuator for less than $5. Fix one side for $18, do both sides for only $25. I don't sell parts, I don’t make any money off of the upgrade, I just tell you how to do it cheaply and easily.

Here’s a picture of the new actuator installed:

Depending on the year mine is a 92 the black and white wire should have power. If it does check to see if the pnk and yel have power when you rock the switch or pnk and grn rock it to the lock position. If they do then most likely as previously stated your actuators are shot. Here is a diagram for my 92.

you can get new door lock actuators for $44.99 each new at CJponyparts.com. i had both replaced at a shop that tried to charge me $275 each for them. fox's seem to have problems with the rubber sleeve that covers the wires where they are exposed in between the door are the engine bay. mine were all deteriorated

Joe's retrofit cost me $20 for the two actuators including shipping and about $15 worth of miscellaneus parts including new door panel fasteners. It really is the way to go. It is so easy after you get the parts and start looking at the installation instructions he has on his website.

But your right, once the rubber sleeve ripps, the motor is toast when it gets water in it.
