hi, i'm looking to convert my cooling setup to an electric fan. has anyone here done this, and if so can you offer me any advice / things to expect. also i want it thermostatically controlled. how complex is the wiring? thanks.

I don't give a $hit what anybody says; the black magic fan is the way to go. My car makes a decent amount of HP and I live in the high desert. It gets hot. I still run a stock radiator and black magic fan without any trouble. It generally runs 195 during the summer. I bet it would run 180 without the blower. Anyway, the black magic fan is so easy to install that I can't stand it. I couldn't see it taking a begginer more than 3 hours (less really) to install. All you need to do is run a couple of wires to it and your done. I can do it, and do it clean, in an hour. It has an adjustable thermostat built into it.

I agree, everyone badmouths the black magic, but the truth is it kicks ass. I have the Blackmagic Xtreme and i wouldnt have done it any other way. The install looks clean and pro and it didnt take any cutting/bending or any other bull**** to make the fan fit, plus it cools great. I think it flows 500 CFM more then the regular blackmagic.
