electric fan from 3.8 mustang

got a chance to get a brand new electric fan from 03 mustang 3.8 for free!!!. will this be a good fan for my 89 mustang? thanks

Any pics of it? Does it look the same as the 94-95 stang? If so get it. If it's free I'll get it anyway. I'm using a fan from a v-6 stang and it works very good.

Get it for now, but a better bet is the fan from the Loncoln Mk VIII, it flows better. Don't forget that you might need to upgrade your alternator to compensate for the extra power draw. I'm doing a 3G alt and MkVIII fan in the next few days. Good luck.

thanks, will an alternator from an 94-95 mustang 5.0 bolt right in or do you have to do alot of hacking to get it to work also what years and vehicles have the 3g alt. t

Very minor electrical needed. And you will have to chip away at the alt bracket so the bigger alt can fit but it's very minor. You can go to my page in my sig and go to page 8.
