ok i have the fan mounted up, the 12 volt high amp wire going to the + terminal on the battery, and the ground going to the fenderwell.. the other two connections im not sure where they go.. where is a low amp 12 volt source, and where is the a/c + lead and how sould i run a wire into it.. i know these are really stupid questions, but i hate running wires and im not very good at it, as you can tell im sure

low amp positive should be something that is key-on-hot or constant, if you dont mind the fan running when the car is off.
for the a/c part, im not sure what people do. i think you could get it off the compressor two wire connector, if the controller does not draw from the wire, but rather uses it to energize a relay coil. i might hit the wire before the WOT relay because if you use the compressor terminal, the fan will shut off when you go to WOT.

got any friends that are good at wiring? that would be easiest.
good luck.

ok.. so the low amp + should go somewhere in like the fuse box, and to a wire that is only hot with the key on.. thats easy enough

with the a/c wiring you lost me.. i still have no idea where to run that wire.. and are you saying run it to the WOT relay instead of the a/c, or in addition to?? sorry, i feel so stupid asking these questions, but wiring is definatly not my thing

i hear you - dont feel bad. i have not wired up a controller (and figured others would answer). i am decent with generic wiring, but not having done one of these.....

here is the deal. juice to the compressor is cut off when you mash the gas. so it would be nice to hit the a/c wiring before the WOT relay. here is one of Tom's great pics:
http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/tech/engine/images/fuel-alt-links-ign-ac.gif

the WOT relay is left of the puter.

you might be stuck running the a/c wiring from the compressor anyhow - the wire you would need to tap into is the positive coil wire (the top two wires in the relay are the coil wires. one is positive and one negative - they have the curly cues between them). but i WOULD BE AFRAID OF OVERLOADING THE CIRCUIT. i would not tap into the appropriate coil wire without having Jrichker, Tom (TMoss), Michael Yount, Hllon or one of the other wiring gurus chime in. i dont want you to fry anything.

it depends upon how much current the puter can handle, and how much draw the controller uses from that wire tap, to energize the controller/relay/fan.

does that make sense? im not sure it does to me, LOL.

so i will bump this for one of the wisemen to speak up, and help you out. like i said, i dont feel comfortable having you act on my two cents worth, without confirmation from one of the smart peeps in here.......
good luck and sorry to not be more help.

I personally ran the negative wire straight to the battery and then run the positive into your fuse box. This way when you turn your KEY the electric fan will always run instead of kicking on when the engine starts getting warm. I don't like the fact of a fan kicking on when the motor gets warm. Why not keep it cooled all the time?? My thought...

i was trying to figure out a way to get the fan to run all the time, but i couldnt.. i have the ground going to the - on the battery and your saying that if i run the + to the fuse box that the fan will stay on all the time? do i have to some how over ride the temperature sensor? and what do i do with the second + connection, just not do anything with it?

it looks to me as though you can manually run the fan through the controller. that is the switch in your pic. so you could do either/or.

or to run it totally manually (independant from the controller), run a key on wire (fuse box) to a switch in the cockpit. run the outlet wire (to accessory) to a SPDT relay. wire the relay per the instructions (wire from switch to one coil, ground to other coil, fused battery power to common, thick AWG wire from N/O terminal to the fan. flip your switch, fan comes on. make sure to turn the switch off before starting (or use a DPDT relay).
