Electric fan keeps blowing fuses

exactly, mine was blowing fuses all the time and i think i upped the fuse by 5A and so far so good.

Well I put on a 50 amp fuse and so far so good! Thanks for the help everyone

I recommend a 30 amp automatic reset circuit breaker in your case. The automatic reset means the breaker trips with an overload and resets when it cools down. Works a little bit like your hazard flasher

Thermal circuit breakers like this one have a time lag so they don't trip immediately. That works well for circuits with motors, since a motor draws a current surge when it starts up.

Ford Taurus 98 uses 40amp fuse. That might b too much 4 ur wiring but there it is for what its worth. It took me about 15 min to sign up just to let u know so I hope u preciate it. Rock on

Oh! I c it now! Ha! Well u kno, I'm having problems with my fan that's how I bumped into it. It just cracks me up how I find these threads n it seems like th peopl discussing them hav absolutely no clue. I guess I just like to share whatever tiny bit of knowledge I hav. N this particular case I guess it was a waste of time. What r th odds someone els will put a taurus fan n their mustang n need to kno what amp fuse they need? None I guess. Ha!

After reading this post, I need a big bottle of aspirin. Good standard English, not the gibberish used by some in text messages is the best tool to use in communicating technical problems. Having to translate what is written in to an understandable format increases the likelihood that an erroneous conclusion will be reached.
