electrical help plz

had a buddy cleaning my car and he found an unconnected wire under my power seat(the hard way) and shorted out my seat. I have checked all the fuses and fusable links and nothing is blown but my power seat still will not working. I have power to the seat and the motor but it still will not work. It would not be a prob if the seat is where I usually have it but its too far back for me to drive... Help!!

I don't know anything about your seats specifically, but is the motor grounded?

If all you need to do is get it moved forward, there's always the possibility of hard wiring the pos and neg wires from the power seat motor to the battery, move the seat where you want it and disconnect.
