Where exactly does the temperature sender screw into? Any pictures of where it would go? I have the Autometer Lunar guage. Also is it easier to tap into ignition from the radio or from the colomn.
I don't know where you're mounting the guage, but when I put in the Autometer dual pod instrument bezel, I used the stock harness for the wire coming in from the sender. Just change the wire end out under the hood and tap into it behind the instrument cluster. Makes for a really clean job.

to clarify, i think one would need to cut the stock sending wire at the stock gauge (or between the stock gauge and the place you tapped into). if you have one sender providing resistance (the signal sent) to two gauges, at best, each will read half off (if the gauges were calibrated the same - most aftermarket gauges are not calibrated the same as OEM's, so readings can be all over the place).
said another way, each gauge needs its own sender and sending wire. no sharing.
That's correct. I cut the wire and left the factory guage disconnected. Just used the harness. Put connectors on both ends of the factory wire so the stock guages could be reconnected if ever needed again.
