Electronic Cutouts... how much do they help the 4.6?

Cut outs on a Mustang sound like ASS! You'd probably get more out of the Tornado then you would cut-outs. It's a Chevy thing.
my cutouts are going right after the midpipe and before the cat-back :)

i am confident that it'll sound good as i have ran around with no mufflers on and exiting right after the midpipe and it sounds AWESOME~!

Perhaps you could explain, how, at any one RPM,
increased backpressure can increase torque.

like i said genius... ive had lots of experience with cut-outs... believe what u want... you def lose torque... on the highway however it feels the same if not maybe a tad faster...they sound sick but i wouldnt race with them...
and for your information it does not increase back pressure...you lose back pressure which is why you lose torque

So what I realy need is an O pipe for maximum backpressure?

back pressure is bad no matter what, exhaust gas velocity is what it's all about. If you keep the engine in the upper RPM band where the power will be with cutouts, you may see lower ETs. The modular motors are a little different but that's what I've learned from the older guys at the track.
