I have been looking at the choices available for replacing the gauge cluster with a six gauge panel. Some of the Autometer speedometers I've been looking at are electronic and require a sending unit for them to operate. I have a GearVendor overdrive in the car and it required a sender to be driven off the speedometer drive, all required parts were included and it was very easy to install.
They provide short speedo cable that their signal generator attaches to and then a connector that couples to the original speedo cable. My problem is how to add a second signal generator to this setup. I've already checked with GV, they said the Autometer speedo will not function correctly if I tapped into the wires of the GV unit.
Does anybody know if this Ford VSS will work?
