I'm curious how much stuff will pass the emissions testing done here in Washington, Clark county if I need to be more specific.
I had the car tested a little over a year ago when I first bought it, and am trying to determine when I'll have to go back and get it done again. I checked their website and couldn't find any information telling me WHEN I would need to go back, assuming I need to at some point. Does anyone know what the cycle is for vehicles returning for Emissions Tests?
Also, for those of you with modified vehicles (which I'm sure is most of us), what have you gotten away with and passed emissions? Right now I have a Halltech Stinger Intake and B&B Bullet Catback setup, but am getting ready to drop the cash on the rest of the exhaust (Longtubes, Hi-Flow Cats, X-Pipe) within the next month. I have no idea what will and won't pass these tests. Anyone have any insight on how it works exactly? Just seems like a gamble doing stuff to your vehicle when you have no idea if you can get it to pass emissions or not. I know getting a proper tune after major work certainly helps (at least I've read it does), but it seems like it could still be a gamble. Curious to hear your thoughts on this.
This is the first time I've dealt with any emissions testing on modified vehicles. My 02 Mustang GT I had passed, but it didn't have any major work done. Only intake, catback, and catted x-pipe. I'm from IA, so this is all new to me!
