Engine Bay Body Color

Here's one:

I thought about leaving it the stock black but to me it looks so plain and it's not a stock restoration anyway, mild restomod. I want to paint it the same color as the body (red) but don't know where to draw the line, just inner fenders and firewall or all the other bits too, sub frame, etc.? I was thinking black for the sub frame but red for the rad support? Stock would be so much easier if I could talk myself into it

That's a good point, that may not look good at all. So really just the inner fenders and firewall should get body color paint, everything else black make sense. Trying to sort out as many details I can before I get to that stage.

Thanks

Thanks, those are great pictures, that really helps. I think having the core support body color as well makes the engine bay look way better. The only down side may be the view through the grill but I don't think it's that bad, may even end up liking it.

i am media blasting my shell and painting the entire body shell same color. frame rails, inner wheel wells, floors, interior bracing everything will get a treatment of highland green. paying attention to deal makes the end result that much better... plus imo flat black looks tacky
