Hey, guys and gals,
Just shorten my CAI from the fenderwell to the engine bay, I sprayed Heat resistant primer on it, up to 5000 degrees to be exact, that seemed to do some good:nice:, installed a 4 inch air filter, the largest that could fit, made my own heat shield, installed 180 degree thermostat, and shortening the CAI really made a difference, quicker accelaration, and less of a variable in power/ weather ratio. I mean it still sucks when its hot but not as much now. The 180 degree stat let me somewhat benifit from higher octane gas, or may its me, and the catch can is actually doing its job, all the coffe brown **** going back into the intake is terrible. The Throttle body spacer and intake spacer, inch wide, works like a charm. This web site is the most awsome ever,:SNSign: all of my install Ideas have came from you guys and gals. Thanks alot.:):hail2::SNSign:
Why do you think that the CAI, when it was shortened worked better the the one that was in the fenderwell? Would anyone reccomend spacers in the front and back or just the back!!!

Before I got my wheels and tires I stuck some 1.5 inch spacers on the back of my car with my factory 17x8 Bullitts. It was a good looking solution for the price (I bought a set of 4 used for 90$), but it doesn't compare to the new 10.5 inch DD's.
