Wow, the bad thing is the pictures dont do it justice. In person it looks unreal, like a hot wheels paint job or something.

Can't wait to see the finished car, I've seen brandywine on a bike and loved it, a candy version on a mustang would be ever so sweet.

That looks SO NICE!

A little trick with the headers....put a blanket over your shocktowers and put the headers in the car with bungie cords...then lower the engine in.

Id cover the whole engine bay with blankets as to not to scratch it.

I have thought about that color before. There's a pro street S-10 in the Houston area that has that color. I am a little confused, because his looks a cross between black, maroon, and brown. He told me he used brandywine but with a grey undercoat. Truck looks totally awesome, but I only have a picture of it at night. I would post it here but do not know an easy way to do so. Any help

That color is AMAZING! My brother has the same color on his 71 Camaro (sorry, guys!). It's just one of those colors that looks terrific on almost any car . . . nice choice!!!!

Thanks, yeh i have some tarp like blankets that will be covering the entire bay when the engine goes back in. Had my body/paint guy do it. I was originally going to paint it myself semi-gloss black but he insisted on doing it, and gave me a good deal price wise. Pics are right after it was painted. I wanted to use House of Kolor but he (painter) does not like how it "cakes" up in the corners so he used BASF brand i believe thats what he said. According to him its a better brand.

The paint looks awesome. I really love the color, but...

Am I the only one who thinks a little more prep was needed? Like remove the brackets, clip nuts, hood bumpers. Maybe paint the whole radiator support and hood latch bracket. I assume you'll paint the rest of the frame rails and motor mounts black. Why not paint all the cowl area? Don't mean to flame you. I'm rebuilding my 10 speed bike right now and it don't mean anything to anybody but me. When I repaint the frame I could just paint over the bearing cups but I won't because its not right to me. The bike is stripped down to the bare frame which I'm in the process of sanding. To me that's doing the job right. jmo

Your right it probably should have been done like that. And it may be done later anyway, still some repair work to do there. Replacing the stops and some other pieces there also. Probably getting the stainless steel trim to go around the bay to cover some of the areas also. Its a daily driver im not real concerned with it being that perfect.
