I'm thinking there's a few things I'd like to do to clean up this engine bay, and that's a new distributor (sitting down here), fixing up the rad support, maybe putting that plastic cover back on, and somehow making that power steering neck a nice colour and the brake fluid reserve.. any other thoughts, can anyone post some other engine bays, RC, how's your's lookin' nowadays?? need some ideas...

here's the pic.. thanks..

For bling either polish or get chrome parts of... Intake, valve covers, altinator, altinator bracket, distributer, waterpump, PS pump, AC compressor, PS bracket, hood prop, coil bracket, TB, elbow adapter.

Get a flex cool(?) radiator hose, paint the PS fill neck, some wazee pullies, hide all the wires you car, and a nice good cleaning. Thats about all I can think of right now.

Get some clips for those spegetti...I mean, plug wires. Bury that maf in the fendrer. Mine is definitley nothing to look at, but I think putting the maf in the fender makes it look a little better.

Need to do some Simple Green disgreaser first. Zip ties do wonders for spark plug wire placement. Put the plastic rad cover back on, it hides lots of wires and brackets. Sand down the steel coil bracket with like 600 grit and use a compound when done. The cold air kit looks awkward and the clamp screws are on top, move them so they can't be seen. All vacuum lines should be run so they can't be seen. Hide anything you that can be.

94SC50, I absolutely love your engine bay, but move that battery! That bright red top totally throws off everything else. It should find its way to the trunk.

thanks guys for the advice, since I drive my car everyday I think this is going to be my winter project.. I'll definately be busy for most of it..

also, I cannot for the life of me find one of those plastic rad covers that is actually in good shape, have some of you painted them??

What He said...

Sorry Jetoumi, I was away yesterday and didnt see this post. Like above, in the case of your engine, youre gonna want to clean EVERYTHING in there (except the STB) and move a few things.
Here is your pic:

1. unless you have removed a lot of stuff and have a chrome radiator cover, paint the original with black FUSION paint and put it back on with some new plastic screws. (see how mine is done)

2. After stuff is cleaned, get a Dremel with the Scotch-type scouring wheels and lightly brush off everything.

3. I used the wire ties to "organize" the spark plug wires.

4. Dont start buyng new chrome parts until everything is clean and youre sure you like the look....If you start, you cant stop...nothing looks worse than having only one or two shiny things in there, then not finishing.

5. Take off the 4 screws and remove the coil...that bracket along with the ps bracket with the 2 bolts there REALLY shines up nicely.

6. REFER all future bling questions to JR

jetuomi, what kind of radiator is that you have? How does it work and how much did it cost ya? I need another radiator and I can't afford another Fluidyne.

RC, did you paint your idler pulley or is that a billet one? Where can I get a billet one? I saw one on somebody's car on here and I've been wanting to get one but I have no idea where to get one. UPR doesn't have one for our car, the only one I saw on their site was for the 03-04 Cobras.

RC you kill me dude your car is pimp'n!

Any advice you need though I'll hook you up.
The pulley is billet as well as all of my others. The only chrome is the STB, Alt, oil breather, bolt caps, rad cap, brake cap, valve covers and ps neck. Everything else I either painted or polished myself.

Here is a more recent pic of the dist painted and the wp pulley. Paint match parts to your paint looks pretty decent IMO.

I thought those were just for the fox body stangs. They actually make one to fit in our cars or did you have to custom fit it?
