On such an inspirational thread, I feel lead to ask the question... How do I achieve sexy engine bay status? Currently my engine bay is vacant and I'll be adding a bunch of dress up pieces, so I want it to look it's best...Some advice for me??

Well.. how far do you want to take it?

The factory paint under the hood leaves much to be desired. I don't think it was cleared over and no matter what you do it takes a ton of work and basically a motorless engine bay to get the paint decent in there. Im speaking of the strut towers and underhood area with this. How far is the engine broken down? If the motor is still all bolted up I would say a simple thing would be just a good wipedown and cleaning areas that you normally can't get to. If you want to tear it down start with the valve covers

I've got the whole engine completely out for a major top-end overhaul. She's getting a black trickflow intake mani and black with silver manifold covers. I've already painted the engine and timing cover black, but the wiring harness and wires and such are just nasty as well as the whole engine bay. how do you guys do yo thang?
