Engine Coolant Temp Sensor ???

Hi, so I have a trick flow intake, with new fuel rails etc. So the regulator is kinda blocking where the engine coolant temp sensor would go into the coolant tubes that are on the lower intake. If I block that off with a cap, and use one of the temp sensor ports on the intake itself for the engine coolant temp sensor, would that work the same? Thanks

Yes, you just need to have it somewhere in the lower intake. What you could do, a little ghetto, is use a 90 degree elbow and still use the same port as before.

As long as it's reading the temp of the coolant somewhere[/I] I would think it would be OK, but then what do I know . . .

How about some photos or a link to where you have seen one installed. That would give us a much better idea of what you need.

True, but you want it in the coolant flow as much as possible. If you start using adapters and nipples, you run the risk of the coolant stagnating by the sensor and getting false (lower) readings than actual
