Pretty much any green engine coolant, I use motorcraft coolant myself.

Ford says Premium green #VC-4-A or Premium gold (yellow color) #VC-7-A. Mix it with distilled water. Can't go wrong with the Motorcraft stuff.

Use the same kind that is in it now

I recently watched one of those shows on Speed Channel. The one with Pat Goss as their techie-know-it-all guy. He was really specific on this one. If you can find out what kind is in it now use exactly the same brand and type because you don't want to mix these. It leads to clogged channels in the radiator.

I also saw it on Sports Car Revolution when a guy from Shaun Hyland M.S. said basically the same thing.

Same practice has worked for me for over 30 years of driving in the south and southwest. Hope it helps.

I too have a 99 cobra, and does anyone know exactly how coolant cools your engine, because Im having heating issues with mine, and it seems my cooling fan is just always running but always blows hot air. I thought the radiator makes it blow cold air? anyone care to clarify how cooling your car actually works????? thanks

I would recommend using a bottle of Redline Water Wetter along with your standard coolant w/ distilled water. It lowers your max temp by 30 degrees although I haven't actually put a thermometer in to check. It's just something I've always used. I have a water cooled computer and Redline actually lowered the max temp considerably.

My $.2
