Does anyone have one of these, buddy of mine wants one, but doesnt know what it would look like. Looks cool, covers that ugly engine a little. If so, any pics, they have others. http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/it...subCategory=Engine/Plenum+Covers&CatKey=74-01

When I had my GT last year, they were availabe, dont know how long though they were available. A little pricey, but may be worth it.

Hmm, Show some pics if your buddy ends up getting one. I think it will def improve the engine bay a bit.

They have ones for the '05+ that look almost exactly like that. They look good on the '05+. Never seen that for the '99-'04. I think it would probably look good.

Only negative i can see with running an engine cover is retaining dirt under the cover and having it act as an insulator.

I remember my Mark 8 had a large engine cover. I removed it after reading posts on a Mark 8 board on how heat and dirt build up under hear. After taking it off and cleaning off some of the dirt i noticed my engine ran a tick colder on the gauge.

I still like it though. I just want to see a pic of it installed as it's rather expensive

Ugly engine? WTF The 4.6 is made to be looked at. Hell would freeze over before I would ever consider "covering up my engine"

Ive seen it on a car before, looked terrible, the 05s look good with them because of the way the tb comes out the front.

Yeah i couldn't picture it on the 99-04 motor

If i were to design the cover, i would leave a hole in the center so the pony emblem on the plenum would stick out and the cover would act as a skirt around it hiding the other vac lines and misc stuff.

Yeah, ugly. Unless you have a cobra, mach, or you have a superhager on a GT, they are ugly. All those hoses and lines in plain veiw. Alternator right dead in the middle. I'd rather it look like the 05s. Just my .02! But, I dont know how these covers look, thats why I want to know if anyone has one. Nice clean engine though!

But... it's... an engine...

Whats it supposed to look like?

I guess this is why I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer.
